Description
1908-D Indian Half Eagle, MS64+
Rare High-End Specimen
1908-D $5 MS64+ NGC. While Choice examples of the 1908-D
half eagle are not too difficult to locate, the issue is very rare
in any finer grade. This attractive example exhibits well struck
design elements and a sharply defined mintmark. The reddish-gold
surfaces are lightly abraded, and mint luster is above average for
the issue. The high-end status of this piece is confirmed by the
plus designation. Currently, NGC has certified only seven coins in
MS64 +, with none finer in the designation (8/10).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28DF, PCGS# 8511, GSID# 9317)
