    1908-S Indian Head Five, MS64
    Rare CAC-Approved Example

1908-S $5 MS64 PCGS. CAC. From a mintage of only 82,000 coins, the 1908-S half eagle is a semikey date in high grades. Choice and finer examples are scarce, and such coins are rare with CAC labels. This is the lowest-mintage of the three first-year Indian Head issues. The current coin displays luminous peach-gold mint luster and exceptionally smooth fields. The devices are sharply struck and the coin produces splendid eye appeal. Mike Fuljenz writes of this issue: "The luster is excellent and it certainly ranks as one of the best San Francisco issues of this type." Indeed, this example is highly appealing.(Registry values: N2998)
