    Description

    1908-S Indian Half Eagle, MS64
    Low-Mintage, First-Year Issue

1908-S $5 MS64 PCGS. The Indian design was introduced on the half eagle denomination in 1908 and the San Francisco Mint struck a small mintage of 82,000 examples with the new motifs. The lustrous orange-gold surfaces show only insignificant signs of contact. Population: 90 in 64 (13 in 64+), 74 finer (10/19).(Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28DG, PCGS# 8512)

    Weight: 8.36 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
