Description

1908-S Indian Half Eagle, MS64

1908-S $5 MS64 PCGS. While a legitimately scarce issue, the 1908-S is actually more plentiful than the other S-mint Indian half eagles in higher grades. This piece has the soft, frosted appearance seen on so many 1908-S fives, and the strike is sharp throughout. There are no singularly mentionable abrasions on either side. Attractive tan-golden luster overlies the surfaces.
