Description

1909 Five Dollar, MS65
Satiny Cartwheel Luster

1909 $5 MS65 NGC. A beautifully preserved Gem type coin with satiny luster that emits a radiant cartwheel effect. This sharp 1909 Indian half eagle is devoid of abrasions, and a loupe detects only a few stray lines in the fields when tilted just right beneath a light. This issue is elusive so well-preserved, and finer coins are rare. Census: 54 in 65, 7 finer (8/16).
