Handsome 1909-D Half Eagle, Choice Mint State

1909-D $5 MS64 NGC. Lovely sun-yellow patina drapes the surfaces of this handsome and well-preserved example. Frosty luster shimmers on each side and accents the sharply struck devices. Although the 1909-D has the highest mintage of the series, it is surprisingly scarce in grades finer than the present piece. NGC has certified 64 pieces finer (7/08). (Registry values: N2998)
