1909-D $5 MS64 NGC. An appealing champagne-gold specimen with surprisingly frosty and intense mint luster, for the issue. Boldly struck with minor marks in the fields that keep it from grading higher. This second-year Indian half eagle issue from the Denver Mint is obtainable as a near-Gem but rare any finer.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28DJ, PCGS# 8514, GSID# 9319)
