Key Issue in the Series

1909-O $5 AU55 NGC. Although fewer 1929 examples are extant, the 1909-O is the most conditionally challenging issue in the entire Indian half eagle series. This lot offers an attractive, orange-gold and honey-gold colored representative with few sizeable abrasions for the grade. The strike is typical for the issue, there is little perceptible wear except over the highest points of the design. The mintmark is softly impressed.
