Splendid 1909-O Half Eagle, Choice AU

1909-O $5 AU55 NGC. A charming olive-gold example of this highly desirable date. Traces of luster in the fields complement the crisply defined design elements. The mintmark is soft, as always, but it is clear nonetheless. A few pinscratches above the eagle are barely mentionable. The 1909-O was the final New Orleans Mint issue and is the key to the Indian Head half eagle series.(Registry values: N2998)
