1909-O $5 -- Cleaned -- NGC Details. Unc. Winter-1. New Orleans minted a single issue of the new Indian half eagle in 1909 with the dismal mintage of 34,200 coins, less than half of the second-lowest mintage by Denver in 1911. The present example is well struck and is only met with a few hairline marks ala the cleaning, as well as some minute abrasions. This piece is an opportunity for mint and date collectors to obtain this elusive coin.(Registry values: N4719)
