Popular One-Year Type Coin

1909-O $5 XF45 PCGS. From a low mintage of 34,200 pieces, the 1909-O Indian half eagle is always popular as the only date of the series from the New Orleans Mint. The present coin is an attractive, lightly worn survivor, with much original detail still present on the devices. The surfaces are lustrous, with pleasing orange-gold color. Housed in a green label holder and originally purchased by the consignor at the 1992 FUN show.(Registry values: N1793)
