Description
Remarkable 1909-S Half Eagle, MS63
1909-S $5 MS63 ICG. Like most S-mint half eagles, the 1909-S becomes challenging above low Uncirculated grades. Select Mint State examples such as the present coin are elusive, and anything finer is rare. Charming apricot-gold patina covers both sides of this lightly abraded representative. Coruscating luster highlights the crisply struck design elements.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25ZL, PCGS# 8516, GSID# 9321)
