Description
1910-S Five Dollar, MS64+
Near the Condition Census
A Rarity in This Grade
1910-S $5 MS64+ PCGS. Give both the scarcity of the 1910-S
in MS64 and the sheer rarity of finer examples, finding a high-end
MS64 coin becomes all the more important for quality-conscious
collectors. Of the 26 MS64 coins listed at PCGS, only six carry a
Plus designation, the present coin being one of them. The devices
yield bold definition, complemented by rich orange-gold patina and
soft, satiny mint luster. A few trivial field marks on the obverse
prevent Gem classification, but the often troublesome reverse
fields are quite well preserved. Population: 26 in 64 (6 in 64+), 7
finer (11/24).(Registry values: N7079)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28DM, PCGS# 8519, Greysheet# 9323)
Weight: 8.36 grams
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
