Description
Lovely MS64 1911 Half Eagle
1911 $5 MS64 NGC. Despite a relatively high mintage, the 1911 half eagle, like the other issues of its ilk, is recognized as conditionally elusive relative to demand in Choice and better grades. The present coin is boldly impressed with luminous yellow-orange surfaces. Marks are few, with a small nick to the left of the eagle the only flaw deserving individual mention. NGC has graded 39 numerically finer pieces (4/09).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28DP, PCGS# 8520, GSID# 9311)
