1911-S $5 MS63 PCGS. The 1911-S Indian half eagle boasts a mintage of more than 1.4 million coins, although it is remarkably scarce in high grade. This Select example is the finest grade typically considered plentiful. Soft, satiny orange-gold luster adorns each side, with minor abrasions in the fields. The design elements are boldly rendered. PCGS reports only 39 numerically finer grading events (10/25).(Registry values: N2998)
