Tantalizing MS64+ 1913 Five Dollar

1913 $5 MS64+ PCGS Secure. CAC. An impressively preserved example of this popular higher-mintage Indian half eagle issue that comes tantalizingly close to Gem status. Both sides are awash in rich luster, yellow-orange with more of the former color in the centers and greater emphasis on the latter at the margins. Well-defined with just a few small abrasions visible mostly in the fields. PCGS has graded just 53 pieces as Gem or better (4/10).(Registry values: N2998)
