Appealing Select 1913-S Five Dollar Gold
1913-S $5 MS63 PCGS. One of the scarcest dates in the series in Mint State and seldom seen finer. This piece is wonderfully original, with smooth surfaces and a rich, yellow-gold color. Both sides are well struck but the mintmark is characteristically weak, in fact, almost invisible without aid from magnification. This is a great coin for someone desiring a Select Mint State example of the date at a price that seems reasonable compared to that of a Gem.(#8526) (Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25ZP, PCGS# 8526, GSID# 9327)
