1914 $5 MS64 NGC. Bright luster invigorates the peach-gold surfaces of this near-Gem, complemented by sharply struck design features. A few minute marks in the raised exposed fields, especially on the reverse, preclude Gem classification. The 1914 is available through MS64, but becomes considerably more difficult any finer. NGC and PCGS have graded only about 40 pieces MS65 and better (9/09).(Registry values: N2998)
