Appealing Near-Gem 1914 Half Eagle
1914 $5 MS64 PCGS. CAC. Wonderful wheat-gold color with glimpses of peach at the margins. Well-defined with only a few wispy marks present in the reverse fields. While the 1914 half eagle is available for a price at the MS64 level, finer examples are rarities. PCGS has graded only 23 such pieces (9/09).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28DU, PCGS# 8527, GSID# 9314)
