Description
Impressive 1914 Half Eagle, MS64
1914 $5 MS64 PCGS. A wonderful example of the relatively high mintage 1914 half eagle, with a production of 247,000 coins. All three mints had similar mintages in 1914, as Denver tied the Philadelphia mintage of 247,000 coins, and San Francisco minted 263,000 pieces. This representative has bold and frosty honey-gold luster that creates excellent eye appeal. Rather plentiful at the present grade level, the 1914 half eagle is a rarity any finer, with just 23 better pieces graded at PCGS.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28DU, PCGS# 8527, GSID# 9314)
