    Underrated Gem 1914-D Half Eagle

1914-D $5 MS65 PCGS. A sharp, well frosted example overlaid in attractive reddish patina. Other than a small cut adjacent to star 5 on the obverse, field marks tend to be very light and unobtrusive. Similar in rarity to the 1911-S, the 1914-D is among the more underappreciated condition rarities in the Indian Half Eagle series and is quite elusive as a Gem. Population: 12 in 65, 2 finer (11/05).(Registry values: N7079)
