Description
Wonderful 1914-S Half Eagle, MS62
1914-S $5 MS62 PCGS. Like other San Francisco Indian Head half eagles, the 1914-S is relatively scarce in low Uncirculated grades and is extremely rare in high Mint State. Flashes of luster accent the apricot-gold patina that envelops both sides. The surfaces are remarkably clean for the grade, and the strike is sharp. PCGS has certified only 23 pieces finer (8/08).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28DW, PCGS# 8529, GSID# 9329)
