Description

Appealing 1914-S Half Eagle, MS62

1914-S $5 MS62 PCGS. The peach-gold surfaces on this 1914-S five dollar have above-average luster, and the design features are generally bold. Under magnification, numerous faint marks are observed on the raised, exposed fields, especially those at the upper obverse and reverse. Still, a pleasing example of this mintmarked issue, difficult to locate in the better Mint State grades. PCGS has graded 23 finer pieces (8/07).(Registry values: N2998)
