Description
1914-S Half Eagle, MS63
Only Eight Finer at PCGS
1914-S $5 MS63 PCGS. Here is one of the important condition
rarities in the Indian half eagle series, with few certified at
this Select Mint State level, and only a handful of finer coins.
PCGS, for example, has only certified eight finer pieces, and every
one of those coins carries a grade no finer than MS64.This magnificent specimen has brilliant yellow-gold luster with frosty mint surfaces and outstanding eye appeal. The strike is lacking in a few areas, and the surfaces have scattered marks, limiting the assigned grade. Population: 30 in 63, 8 finer (6/12).(Registry values: N4719)
Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28DW, PCGS# 8529, Greysheet# 9329)
Weight: 8.36 grams
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
