1915 $5 MS64 PCGS. The half eagles of 1915 would be the last examples of that denomination struck at Philadelphia until 1929, and while the issue is more generally available than others in the series, finding an attractive example can prove challenging. This pleasingly detailed near-Gem has clean sun-gold surfaces and above-average detail and luster. Two faint, parallel marks on the Indian's jaw are the only significant bar to an even finer grade. PCGS has graded 36 pieces finer (8/07).(Registry values: N2998)
