Description
1915 Five Dollar Indian, MS65
Only Two Finer Known
1915 $5 MS65 NGC. The issue is known for quality pieces with
easy accessibility up to MS64, but Gem examples become elusive and
PCGS and NGC show only two pieces in Premium Gem grades, combined
(5/25). Boldly struck with razor sharp devices, satiny luster on
delightful olive-gold surfaces produce a cartwheel band hued with
lilac and orange for stunning eye appeal. Two minor nicks are
visible under a loupe just over the chieftain's headdress,
otherwise there are only trivial imperfections that are not
bothersome. This remarkable Gem is a strong candidate for registry
collectors.(Registry values: N4719)From The Rockhampton Collection.
