    Gem 1915 Indian Half Eagle
    Sharply Struck Example

1915 $5 MS65 PCGS. CAC. The 1915 Indian half eagle claims a large mintage of 588,000 pieces, and the date is not difficult to locate in lower Mint State grades. The 1915 does become scarce at the Gem level, however, and the date is virtually unknown in any finer grade. The present coin is a spectacular Gem, with sharply detailed design elements. The surfaces are a light greenish-gold hue, with subtle highlights of rose color. The mint luster is softly frosted, rather than brightly vibrant. No mentionable distractions are evident, and eye appeal is quite strong. Population: 42 in 65, 0 finer (9/10).(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 28DX, PCGS# 8530)
