    Description

    Scarce 1915-S Half Eagle MS62

1915-S $5 MS62 PCGS. Well struck save for a touch of flatness on the headdress and the Native American's cheekbone, with an attractive reddish tint and just a few unobtrusive field marks on the reverse. Unlike many San Francisco half eagles of this type, the mintmark is unusually clear. The 1915-S is a lower mintage issue in the series and, along with its S-mint counterparts, is legitimately scarce in Mint State. Population: 50 in 62, 28 finer (1/06).(Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25ZR, PCGS# 8531)

    Weight: 8.36 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
