    Description

Key 1929 Indian Half Eagle MS62

1929 $5 MS62 PCGS. The key to the Indian half eagle series, since all but a few dozen survivors were melted in the gold recall of the 1930s. This lovely example shows brilliant copper-gold surfaces with a tinge of red at the obverse rim. A loupe reveals a couple of ticks on the Indian's cheek and headdress, and a miscellany of light reverse abrasions. Together they prevent the Select grade, but the overall eye appeal of this rare coin remains quite high. Certified in a PCGS green label holder.
