    Description

    1908 Quarter Eagle, MS66
    Incredibly Luminous Surfaces

1908 $2 1/2 MS66 PCGS. The glistening, frosty surfaces of this Premium Gem 1908 quarter eagle are about as pristine as is seen on any example of the Indian Head type. PCGS lists only two Superb Gems finer (11/17), and this piece will fully satisfy most collectors. The strike is sharp, and the luminous fields and recesses offer lovely yellow-gold luster. Poor definition of the eagle's wing feathers is due to an incompletely engraved die, not strike softness.
