Pleasing 1909 Gem Quarter Eagle
1909 $2 1/2 MS65 NGC. The mattelike surfaces of this quarter eagle Gem display pleasing luster and yellow-gold patination imbued with traces of light green. A well directed strike imparts strong detail to the design features, including the Indian's hair and the eagle's shoulder.
