Description
Boldly Detailed 1909 Two and a Half, MS66
1909 $2 1/2 MS66 PCGS. Premium Gem, the level of preservation of the present offering, is the finest grade in which the 1909 quarter eagle can realistically be acquired. Indeed, PCGS and NGC have certified none finer than MS66.The sharpness of strike stands out on this example. The headdress feathers show excellent detail, as does the eagle's plumage, including that on the shoulder. Exceptionally lustrous with attractive apricot-gold patina laced with whispers of mint-green. An inoffensive hair-thin mark is noted to the left of the Indian's neck. Population: 16 in 66, 0 finer (2/10).
