True gem specimens of Indian quarter eagles are so scarce, and such a thing of beauty when found, that whenever we do encounter one, we always have to pause a moment to reflect on the artistic merit inherent in their design and the fragile nature of gold coins in general. This is a magnificent gem example that displays sparkling matte-like surfaces and variegated orange-gold and lilac colorations. Fully struck. Population: 6 in 65, none finer.
