Splendid 1911-D Quarter Eagle, AU58
1911-D $2 1/2 AU58 NGC. CAC. This splendid near-Mint State example of this popular key date would make itself right at home in an otherwise Mint State set, one of the only 20th century gold coin series that is reasonably completable. The mintmark is bold, and lovely orange-gold surfaces display only a trace of high-point rub. This well-struck coin has no mentionable contact.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# EGZ7, PCGS# 7943, GSID# 8615)
