    Description

    1911-D Indian Quarter Eagle, AU58
    Sought-After Key Issue

1911-D $2 1/2 AU58 NGC. The Denver Mint struck quarter eagles for the first time in 1911, when a minuscule production of 55,680 pieces was achieved. The 1911-D is the most elusive issue of the series today. This impressive near-Mint specimen exhibits only a trace of wear over the design elements and the mintmark is fully delineated, but a little faint. The orange-gold surfaces are lightly abraded and retain significant amounts of mattelike mint luster.(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 7KR7, PCGS# 7943)

    Weight: 4.18 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
