Description

1911-D Quarter Eagle, AU58
Strong D, CAC

1911-D $2 1/2 AU58 PCGS. CAC. Strong D. The Indian quarter eagle key date is the 1911-D with a series-low mintage of just 55,680 pieces. This near-Mint two-and-a-half displays vibrant green-gold surfaces with subtle orange undertones. Most of the original mint luster remains despite light wear, and the eye appeal produced is outstanding for the grade. The bold D mintmark contains small bits of dirt inside it, attesting to the originality of this piece. The strike is sharp and marks are limited with none that are bothersome.
