1911-D $2 1/2 --Improperly Cleaned--NGC Details. AU. The mintmark is strong and the design elements are well-defined. Otherwise the surfaces are exceptionally bright from cleaning, and the fields on each side show numerous small abrasions from contact with other coins. Still, this piece will undoubtedly be the key in a set of this widely collected series.(Registry values: N2998)
