    Description

    Important MS62 1911-D Quarter Eagle

1911-D $2 1/2 MS62 NGC. A solid Uncirculated example of this key to the Indian quarter eagle series. The mintmark is well formed and the overall striking details are well brought up overall. The fields, especially on the reverse, show a pronounced matte-like texture and the surfaces display soft, satiny mint luster. There are very few abrasions present on either side; in fact, if one were so inclined it would be possible to actually count them (sorry, we aren't so inclined but will say there are fewer on the obverse). Just a touch of coppery patina is seen on both sides.(#7943) (Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 7KR7, PCGS# 7943)

    Weight: 4.18 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
