    Description

    Attractive Uncirculated 1911-D Quarter Eagle

1911-D $2 1/2 MS62 NGC. With an original mintage of just 55,680 pieces, the 1911-D has long been considered the key to this very collectible and quite affordable series. More often seen in XF or AU condition, this issue is quite scarce in Mint State grades. This solid example has no trace of wear and has matte-like, rich golden luster. The MS62 grade was apparently assigned because of a number of light, scattered abrasions that are visible under magnification. An attractive coin nonetheless, and one that is apt to see a considerable number of bidder cards in the air before the hammer falls.(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 7KR7, PCGS# 7943)

    Weight: 4.18 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
