Description
1911-D Quarter Eagle, MS62
Pleasing Mint State Collector Coin
1911-D $2 1/2 MS62 PCGS. Strong D. As the only Indian
quarter eagle with a mintage below 100,000 pieces, the 1911-D
remains the obvious key to the series. Only 55,680 pieces were
struck. Bright-gold highlights outline the motifs on this
straw-gold coin, with a sharp strike seen on both sides. The
surfaces are lively rather than subdued as seen on many 1911-D
examples. The typical granularity that accompanies the issue is
less noticeable, and eye appeal is strong for the assigned
grade.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# EGZ7, PCGS# 7943, Greysheet# 8615)
Weight: 4.18 grams
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
