    Description

Key 1911-D Quarter Eagle, MS63 Condition

1911-D $2 1/2 MS63 NGC. The 1911-D quarter eagle has a very low mintage of only 55,680 pieces. It is the key issue in the series and is always highly sought out in all grades, circulated and Uncirculated. This is a lovely example that presents much finer than its stated grade. Sharply struck throughout, there are no obvious or distracting abrasions on either side. Close examination reveals subtly variegated orange-gold and lilac coloration. (#7943) (Registry values: P3, N11250) (NGC ID# 7KR7, PCGS# 7943)

    Weight: 4.18 grams
