    Description

Attractive, Select Uncirculated 1911-D Quarter Eagle

1911-D $2 1/2 MS63 NGC. The key to the Indian Quarter Eagle series, the 1911-D is particularly elusive above the MS62 grade level. This is a typically well struck coin for the issue with sharply separated feathers on the Indian's headdress and emerging definition on the eagle's shoulder. Even the mintmark is sharply, if not quite fully impressed. The reddish-gold surfaces are free of individually conspicuous abrasions with a slightly granular texture.(#7943) (Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 7KR7, PCGS# 7943)

    Weight: 4.18 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper

The outcome of the auction far exceeded my best hopes and would not likely have been as successful with out your sound advice on where to present the coin and how best to set the reserve. Throughout the process your availability , support and knowledge were exceptional.
