    Description

    1911-D Indian Quarter Eagle, MS63
    In-Demand Key Date

1911-D $2 1/2 MS63 NGC. The purchaser of this Select 1911-D quarter eagle will be well on his/her way to completion of a complete Indian Head set of the denomination, as the 1911-D is the sole key to the series, both an absolute and conditional rarity. Struck to the extent of only 55,600 pieces, the 1911-D was a rarity virtually from the day it was struck. This Select Mint State example will benefit any set in which it resides, showing glowing orange-gold coloration with a bold strike and mintmark (especially important). A tiny tick under the chieftain's eye and two small reeding marks on the reverse are the only mentionable signs of contact.(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 7KR7, PCGS# 7943)

    Weight: 4.18 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
