Description

1911-D $2 1/2 Weak D XF45 PCGS. The mintmark is nearly invisible, but close examination with a lamp and loupe reveals just a trace of the opening of the mintmark. Charming orange-gold patina drapes the surfaces of this minimally marked and well-defined example. With a mintage of just 55,680 pieces, the 1911-D is by far the scarcest issue in the series.(Registry values: P3)
