    Description

Impressive 1911-D Quarter Eagle, A High End MS64 Example

1911-D $2 1/2 MS64 PCGS. One would be hard pressed to find a more visually appealing representative of this, the key issue in the Indian Quarter Eagle series. Both sides are predominantly orange-gold in color with traces of powder-blue iridescence around the peripheries. The bold strike includes sharp definition over the all-important D mintmark. There do not appear to be any abrasions that would bar this frosty example from an even higher grade. Worthy of a strong bid. (NGC ID# 7KR7, PCGS# 7943)
