    Description

    Key Date 1911-D Two-and-a-Half

1911-D $2 1/2 MS63 PCGS. The key to the Indian Quarter Eagle series, the 1911-D is particularly elusive above the MS62 grade level. This is a typically well struck coin for the issue with sharply separated feathers on the Indian's headdress and emerging definition on the eagle's shoulder. Even the mintmark is sharply, if not quite fully impressed. The reddish-gold surfaces are free of individually conspicuous abrasions with a slightly granular texture. (NGC ID# 7KR7, PCGS# 7943)

    Weight: 4.18 grams
