Beautiful Near-Gem 1914 Quarter Eagle
1914 $2 1/2 MS64 PCGS. The second-lowest mintage of the entire series, the 1914 Indian Head is rare in Gem grades and elusive even in lower grades. This piece offers beautiful orange-gold surfaces that display relatively few marks, save for the couple on the high points that determine the near-Gem grade. Much appeal is present, however, and this coin should be given serious consideration. PCGS has certified 47 examples finer (8/08).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2898, PCGS# 7946, GSID# 8609)
