Description
Scarce Near-Gem 1914 Quarter Eagle
1914 $2 1/2 MS64 PCGS. Within the highly collectible Indian quarter eagle series, the 1914 is the second rarest issue, trailing only the key date 1911-D. The two issues have similar NGC Census and PCGS Population data at the MS64 level, although the 1911-D figures are likely more inflated by resubmissions over the years. The present lovely near-Gem has peach-gold borders and green-gold centers. A loupe fails to reveal abrasions of any consequence, and the crisply struck surfaces shimmer with luster.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2898, PCGS# 7946, GSID# 8609)
