    MS64+ 1914 Quarter Eagle
    Frosty Khaki-Gold Surfaces

1914 $2 1/2 MS64+ PCGS. At the Gem level the 1914 Indian quarter eagle is probably the third-rarest issue of the series, behind the key 1911-D and the 1914-D -- even though a single example of the 1914 is certified in MS67 at PCGS. This MS64+ example is one of seven submissions in MS64+, and PCGS has certified 47 in MS65, two in MS66, and the aforementioned MS67 finer (10/11). As expected, this coin offers most of the virtues of a Gem grade. The frosty khaki-gold surfaces show a sharp strike throughout, and this coin appears to be just a couple of minor ticks on each side from a Gem rating.(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 7KRA, PCGS# 7946)
