Gem Quality 1914 Quarter Eagle Rarity

1914 $2 1/2 MS65 PCGS. Most dates in the Indian Quarter Eagle series are available in Gem quality with only a little searching. The 1914 is not one of those dates and requires considerable searching just to find an MS65 grade coin. Once such a coin is found, the chances are that it may not be as appealing as desired. The presently offered example is not only a Gem, but it is highly attractive with excellent aesthetic appeal. The surfaces have frosty luster with rich orange-gold color and wisps of iridescent toning. It is sharply struck with all design features boldly visible. We cannot imagine a finer example for the grade. Consider the current population in MS65 or finer quality, and then give this example the serious consideration it deserves. Population: 41 in 65, 3 finer (5/05).(#7946) (Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 7KRA, PCGS# 7946)

    Weight: 4.18 grams
